Tech Plaastic Industrie Pvt Ltd (TPI), is a TS 16949 certified company, involved in the manufacture of injection, compression and thermoset injection moulded components for the automotive, electrical, textile and cosmetic industries.
TPI also has the capability to manufacture moulds as per Customer design and samples.
1975 - When it all began
TPI was started in the year 1975 ( named as Southern ElectroPlastics Pvt Ltd) for the manufacture of Bakelite moulded components for the automotive industry in Chennai . Gradually, the expertise to manufacture components using DMC, SMC, MF was also added , catering to the requirement of the electrical industries.
Late Mr. M.S. Parthasarathy, was the Founder – Chairman of Tech Plaastic Industrie Pvt Ltd ( earlier called as Southern Electroplastics Pvt Ltd) in the year 1975. A Chemical Engineer by qualification, Late Mr. M.S. Parthasarathy anticipated the growing requirements for plastics and started manufacture of thermoset components in a small way, for Lucas TVS Ltd. The company has now grown along with the needs of the customers and is now a strategic supplier to most OEM’s. Apart from being a Technocrat, Late Mr. M.S.Parthasarathy was the spokesperson for Small Scale Industry in the country. He has served as the President of Federation of All India Small Scale Industries and was the member of Planning Commission, Government of India.
To meet the increasing requirements of our major customer, M/s Lucas TVS Ltd., TPI started the manufacture of ThermoPlastic Components in the year 1993 . Currently, TPI processes a wide range of engineering and non-engineering materials meeting the demands of the various industries.
TPI is a family owned company and is being managed by the second generation.
An Electrical Engineer from College of Engineering, Guindy, Madras University and an MBA in Finance from University of Texas at Arlington, USA. Krish guides the company in achieving its objectives and mentors the team with focus on Customer requirements. Krish also is actively involved with local community through Rotary Club, T. Nagar, having served as its President in 2009~2010.
Joined the group after completion of MS in Marketing and Planning from Temple University, USA. Shankar is responsible for the Sales and Marketing both domestic and International. He also works closely with the operations team ensuring the high standards of Quality, Delivery and Service is maintained and improved.
The factory is operated by staff with formal education in plastic processing with a minimum of 5 years experience in injection moulding. In order to keep in touch with the latest techological developments, the staff also attend seminars conducted by CIPET. The factory functions 3 shifts 6 days a week ( Mon ~ Sat, and Sun is weekly holiday).
