MOULDS

TPI has the capability to manufacture and maintain moulds. Depending on the requirement of the customer we develop moulds with our captive tool room in Chennai or import the moulds.

TPI manufacturers all of its moulds with channel partners located in Chennai and Bangalore. To start the process, we require:

• 2D / 3D drawings of the component
• Samples, if available
• Raw Material Specification Sheet
• Annual Quantity

TPI’s channel partners have sophisticated software, like Moldflow Analysis, to design and manufacture moulds. Average time taken to manufacture a mutli-cavity mould is 8 weeks. .Operational moulds are maintained by a separate team of Tool makers and Fitters.

We use the facilities of the Government owned Central Institute of Plastics and Engineering Technology (CIPET) Centre for carrying out Material Identification and related component analysis.
